DUTT GRANTED BAIL
LATEST: Bollywood bad-boy SANJAY DUTT has been granted bail by India's Supreme Court. The actor has been in prison since 23 October (07), after he was sentenced to six years in jail for his involvement in the 1993 bombings in India. He was imprisoned for illegal possession of weapons linked to the bombings in Mumbai. Dutt was cleared of conspiracy, but found guilty of illegally possessing a rifle and a pistol. Dutt was released on conditional bail in August (07) because the anti-terror court failed to provide him with a copy of its judgment - but he was ordered back to prison after a short reprieve. Over 100 people have been convicted in connection with the blasts, which killed 257 people.
