DURAN DURAN - DURAN DURAN EVICTED FROM HOTEL FOR SOAKING INCIDENT

Veteran pop group DURAN DURAN were once evicted from a Los Angeles hotel for drenching guests from a great height. Frontman Simon Le Bon admits the band behaved raucously on their first American tour - with former guitarist Andy Taylor soaking diners at a restaurant 17 floors below them with a bucketful of water before the group was asked to leave by police. Le Bon says, "It was probably the time we got thrown out of the Hyatt Hotel in Los Angeles when we were on our first tour of the U.S. "We were hanging out at the swimming pool on the roof when Andy Taylor noticed a cleaning bucket, filled it with water from the pool and poured it down to the street 17 floors below on to this open-air restaurant. The LAPD turned up in full armour with riot sticks and gave us an hour to leave."
