DUNST 'CHECKS INTO REHAB'

Kirsten Dunst has checked into a rehabilitation clinic in Utah, according to US media reports.

Star magazine claims the Spider-Man actress has been admitted to the Cirque Lodge centre, the same facility in which Lindsay Lohan was resident after her arrest for driving under the influence.

Child star Mary-Kate Olsen was treated at the clinic for an alleged eating disorder while Hitch star Eva Mendes checked out yesterday after being treated for "personal issues".

It is believed Dunst's alleged admission to rehab comes after a week of partying at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, last month.

"She desperately needed help," an inside source told Star. "She seemed to be intoxicated when she checked in because she was acting really erratic. She was extremely emotional, constantly breaking down in tears."

The insider added: "She's not in a good place right now, but thankfully she's getting the help she needs."

The 25-year-old split from her boyfriend, Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell, in August last year, with the breakup followed by the robbery of her New York City hotel room. An iPod, mobile phone, digital cameras, cash and credit cards were stolen during the break-in.

Dunst's reputation for partying has seen her tagged 'Kirsten Drunkst' by some internet bloggers.
