DUCHOVNY'S SEXY NEW SHOW UPSETS AUSSIES

DAVID DUCHOVNY's racy new TV series CALIFORNICATION has upset advertisers in Australia who have pulled commercials from airing during the show. The new show, in which Duchovny plays a struggling, womanising writer, opened to rave reviews in America last month (Aug07), but scenes featuring full frontal nudity and storylines that included underage sex and dream sequences with sex-starved nuns turned Aussies off. Bosses at leading advertisers Holden And Holeproof have confirmed they pulled ads from the show after it debuted on Channel 10 in Australia last week (ends31Aug07). Meanwhile, religious groups Down Under have called for sponsors to boycott the controversial programme, claiming the explicit sex scenes, language, drug use and lewd behaviour are all too much.

It's just the typical church and family group trying to tell us what we can and can't watch. They seem to think they control Australian society. If they don't want to watch it i'm sure they have a remote control. As for me and my roomates. It's about the only show we actually watch here.

What the hell is this? Aussies aren't offended by this s**tty show. Sure, christians are and I suppose on some lesser extent the advertisers (because of the childrens ads placed in the timeslot by Ten). But it's not like it's anything, I recall something similar happening with The Shield in America, advertisers tried to boycott it or something. But does anyone anywhere care? Nope.
