ELLE MACPHERSON - DRIVING BAN FOR MACPHERSON'S SISTER

Supermodel ELLE MACPHERSON's sister MIMI has been banned from driving for nine months in Australia after pleading guilty to a drink-driving charge. The pretty blonde, real name MIRIAM GOW, was pulled over by police on the Gold Coast Highway at Broadbeach on 30 November (06) after they spotted her driving at night without lights. She registered a blood alcohol reading of .147 per cent - almost three times over the legal limit. She told the court earlier today (19MAR07), "I'm extremely sorry, there's just absolutely no excuse." MACpherson was also fined AUS$1,050 ($839/GBP432).
