STUART WEITZMAN - DREAMGIRL GETS DREAM SHOE FOR THE OSCARS

DREAMGIRLS star ANIKA NONI ROSE will wear designer STUART WEITZMAN's Diamond Dream Shoe to the 79th Academy Awards on Sunday (25FEB07). The actress, who will perform Best Song nominee PATIENCE at the Oscars, was selected as Weitzman's personal model at this year's prizegiving for her "grace and charm". Weitzman has created a silver evening shoe with a stiletto heel, adorned with 1,420 individual brilliant cut Kwiat diamonds, set in platinum circles, exclusively for Rose. The shoe is valued at $500,000 (GBP256,400). Past stars who have been selected by Weitzman to wear his oneof-a-kind shoes on the Oscars red carpet include RAY star REGINA KING and MULHOLLAND DRIVE actress LAURA HARRING.
