DR - DR. PHIL IN MORE TROUBLE OVER BRITNEY HOSPITAL VISIT

American TV self-help guru DR. PHIL MCGRAW faces an investigation by California Board of Psychology officials after offering his services to BRITNEY SPEARS without a licence. Dr. Phil agreed to meet with Spears after she was committed to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center following an apparent breakdown at her home on 4 January (08). He upset members of the pop star's family by going public with his thoughts about Spears' mental health and has come under fire from his peers for reportedly planning a now-scrapped TV special around the Toxic singer's troubles. And now he could find himself in trouble with California's medical authorities after the Board of Psychology bosses received a complaint claiming MCGraw was practicing without a license when he went to Spears' aid. According to U.S. news show Access Hollywood, the complaint states Dr. Phil is not licensed to practice psychology in California, and the talk show host reportedly retired his license to practice in Texas in 2006. Practicing without a proper medical license is against the law in California.
