DIXIE CHICKS TO LAUNCH NEW SINGLE ON BONO'S RED(WIRE)
Country trio the DIXIE CHICKS are to debut new song LUCKY ONE on rocker BONO's new charity digital music magazine, RED(Wire).
The U2 star launched his latest charity venture on Monday (01Dec08), offering music fans the chance to hear exclusive and rare tracks for a $5 (GBP3.30) subscription, and the Dixie Chicks are set to be one of the first big names offering fans something special.
Proceeds from subscriptions will benefit HIV-infected people in Africa.
No specific date has been revealed for the Dixie Chicks' debut. Sheryl Crow, U2, Coldplay and Bob Dylan are also set to release exclusive songs in the coming weeks and months.
Meanwhile, the Killers, Sir Elton John and the Pet Shop Boys' Neil Tennant have collaborated on a new Christmas tune, which will also be available on RED(Wire).
