German director WERNER HERZOG denies he is a 'dangerous' moviemaker - insisting his cast always adhere to strict health and safety guidelines. The filmmaker is famed for his gritty directing style, famously forcing Christian Bale to lose weight and suffer 44 days in a Thai jungle for his role in 2007's Rescue Dawn. However, the multi-award winning movie maestro is always first to check any risks on his sets - claiming not to have one injured star on his hands in over 46 years in the industry. The 65-year-old says, "I've made 54 films and no single actor has been injured. I'm good at assessing risks and not pushing others towards them."
