Talk show host ELLEN DeGENERES has made a $7 million (GBP3.5 million) profit after selling her home in Santa Barbara, California for a staggering $24 million (GBP12 million). The star - currently the scourge of striking writers for breaking the picket line to continue making her show - has only owned the four bedroom, six bathroom Spanish colonial home for a few years, having paid $16.9 million (GBP8.45 million) for it. The pad boasts a 5,000-bottle wine cellar, art studio, swimming pool, tennis court and two guest cottages - reports the Santa Barbara News-Press.
