DAUGHTER TO GET LEDGER'S GLOBE

HEATH LEDGER's Golden Globe Award will be given to his daughter MATILDA, according to the tragic star's mother.
Ledger picked up his first Globe for his portrayal as The Joker in The Dark Knight, and the statuette, which was accepted by his Batman director Christopher Nolan, will be heading to his daughter's bedroom.
The actor's mother Sally Bell says, "I should imagine that eventually it will be going to Matilda. At this stage she is only so young, but down the track she will have all these things. It will belong to her because she is part of him."
Bell tells People.com that she and Ledger's relatives are "bursting with pride" over the Best Supporting Actor win.
She adds, "It is such a fantastic and wonderful legacy for his daughter. Matilda will have so many people who will be able to speak to her about her father's abilities and (the) respect he had in the industry. That is such a wonderful legacy to leave."
Ledger, 28, died from an accidental drug overdose in New York a year ago (Jan09).
