THE WHO frontman ROGER DALTREY has likened the band's performance at British music festival Glastonbury to the tortuous Battle of Passchendaele during World War 1. The band famously headlined the final evening of the three-day event with rain lashing down so hard, the whole site turned into a mudbath. But still the show went down as one of Glastonbury's most memorable performances. Daltrey tells British newspaper The Sun, "We thought 'Who the f**k's going to be here after three days of horrendous weather?' It was like Paschendaele. "The conditions were horrendous and you think no one is going to stay to the end. It was like the 70s when the crowds got bigger."
