CRUISE PLANNING SCIENTOLOGY MOVIE STARRING EX-SPICE GIRL

Tom Cruise is planning to follow in the footsteps of John Travolta and make a movie based on the ideas of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard. According to the London Daily Star, Cruise has already cast former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, the wife of soccer star David Beckham, to star in the movie, titled The Thetan in the role of an "alien bride." In Hubbard's thinking, "the thetan" is the spiritual part of man that advances from one lifetime to the next, inhabiting the minds and bodies of generations of individuals. According to the tabloid, Cruise is financing the movie on his own after the major studios rejected it. Travolta's $73-million movie based on Hubbard's sci-fi novel Battlestar Earth was a major flop, grossing just $21 million at the domestic box office.

This is a completely false story. - 1) In Scientology, a "thetan" is the individual him/herself, not the body. In other words, it means "soul" or "spirit". Nothing to do with aliens. - 2) "Battlefield Earth" was NOT a Scientology movie. It was a FICTION movie based on a FICTION novel. - 3) Tom Cruise is NOT planning to make a "Scientology" movie. The man is an actor by profession, and a Scientologist by religion. Thus, he does one thing with his career, and another with his personal life. Similarly, a dentist who is also a Scientologist would not do "Scientology dentures", and a carpenter who is also a Scientologist would not build "Scientology homes". - This whole article seems lifted from the Pug Bus or any other satire site. Check your facts, check your sources. - Oh, and how about placing a call to an actual Scientology minister before printing such inane rubbish? - Sincerely, Greg Churilov http://www.liveandgrow.org
