DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES - CROSS GAVE UP HONEYMOON TO BECOME A MUM

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star MARCIA CROSS gave up a romantic European honeymoon in an effort to make sure she could become a mum through in vitro fertilisation.
The actress, 45, admits she and husband Tom Mahoney worked on becoming parents as soon as they wed last year (JUN06) and she didn't want to risk their efforts by jetting off for a vacation.
She tells People magazine, "We did in vitro a week after we got married. We were supposed to go to Greece and Paris and have this fancy honeymoon, and I said, 'Let's stay put and see if we can't give this baby a chance.'"
Cross admits she was "hugely terrified" when she first learned she was pregnant with her twin girls, but now she can't imagine not being a mum.
She adds, "I wanted to be a member of that club so badly, and now I'm in and it's so much better than I even imagined."
Cross' twins, SAVANNAH and EDEN, were born within an hour of each other on 20 February (07).
