Iconic 60s and 70s rockers David Crosby and Graham Nash have been forced to cancel their impending month-long US tour due to illness.

The pair's website revealed this weekend that Crosby, 65, had encountered "medical issues".

Reports in Australia said that Crosby was suffering from pneumonia, which had been the reason for delays to recent concerts down under.

Along with Stephen Stills and Neil Young, Crosby and Nash symbolised the Woodstock-era for many fans, producing hits such as Teach Your Children, Marrakesh Express and suitably, Woodstock.

The coming tour had been due to start on March 19th in Shawnee Oklahoma and conclude 26 days later in New York state's Niagara Falls.

Donald Miller, the duo's manager, thanked fans for their "understanding" and indicated the concerts would be rescheduled for the autumn.

"We deeply regret that the band will not be able to embark on this tour as scheduled," he said.
