SLIPKNOT rocker M. SHAWN 'CLOWN' CRAHAN has never made any money from the band's records - blaming falling album sales for his lack of cash.
The percussionist admits the heavy rock group have had to commit to lengthy tours in order to earn money - because releasing new material doesn't raise enough profits to keep the band running.
Speaking to music website Blabbermouth.net, he says, "I'll just be honest. I've never made a dollar on a record. We make our money on the road."
And the star urges U.S. fans to organise more festivals like their European counterparts, so that they can enjoy live music as it should be.
He adds, "I think America needs to look toward Europe and see what they're doing, because over there they all get crazy and they need to have festivals and they just go and they take, like, weeks off.
"I've played these festivals and they're more than just music. It's cultural. It's have a drink. Have food. Let's take a break from our job and let's really figure out life."
