EMINEM - COURT RULES EMINEM AND WIFE MUST BURY THE HATCHET
Eminem and his ex-wife Kim Mathers have agreed to stop feuding with one another in public as part of a court ruling.
The rap star, 34, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, has had a long and tempestuous relationship with the mother of his 11-year-old daughter Hailie.
Now, after marrying and divorcing Kim twice, Eminem has agreed to put an end to the disputes which have punctuated their time together.
After Kim went on Detroit radio to criticise him for being "uncaring and unfaithful" Mathers attempted to file an order with a Michigan court to prevent further "derogatory" comments.
For her part, Kim has also sought to limit Eminem's criticism of her, with the rap star famously making a number of records which fantasise about killing his ex-wife.
After a turbulent relationship which has included a suicide attempt by Kim and drug rehabilitation for Eminem, the two have now agreed to try to end their public bitterness for the sake of their daughter.
Kim's lawyer, Michael J Smith, said the decision was "for the full benefit of the child" and Eminem's representative, Harvey Hauer, said his client was also "happy" with what he termed a "just and equitable resolution".
As part of the order Eminem will still be able to perform songs which feature Kim, but the pair have agreed not to fan the flames in the press or on television or radio.
