COSTNER HAD TO AGREE TO BE A DADDY

KEVIN COSTNER had to agree to be a dad again before his wife CHRISTINE BAUMGARTNER would agree to marry him.
The movie star feared he'd never find love again after splitting from his first wife, childhood sweetheart Cindy Silva, in 1994 - and he had no plans to have more kids.
Already a father of three, Costner was stunned when his then girlfriend hit him with a family condition before she agreed to be his wife.
The Dances With Wolves star tells Parade magazine, "For years, fear kept me from marrying Christine. Christine wanted a child, but I was afraid I couldn't be an effective father.
"She said, 'I'm about children. If you want to be with me, if you want to get married, you should know that's part of my make-up.'
"I woke up and thought, 'Am I going to lose a beautiful woman who is willing to be with me to my very last breath because I am afraid to say yes to a child?'
"That's all it took. I decided I was not going to miss out on love."
The Costners wed in 2004 and their first son together, Cayden, was born last year (07).

If you had researched Kevin Costner in preparation of writing this article, you would know that Costner has four (4) children. His 4th is approx. 12 years old. I believe he refuses to have any contact with that child and I think that constitutes an ineffe ctive father.
