KEVIN COSTNER - COSTNER GIVES BASEBALL TEAM A MUSICAL BOOST

KEVIN COSTNER has followed rocker EDDIE VEDDER's lead by penning a new morale-boosting tune for his favourite U.S. baseball team.
Pearl Jam star Vedder's All The Way has become a play-off anthem for his beloved Chicago Cubs and now Costner is hoping his tune It's All Up To You will help lead the Tampa Bay Rays all the way to the World Series.
Costner and his band Modern West recorded the song last week (ends26Sep08), while putting the finishing touches to a new country album.
The Field of Dreams star says, "I ran into (Rays manager) Joe (Maddon) up in Toronto and said you guys need a war song... something you can play in the locker room after you win and get that group feeling.
"I felt in the back of my head this could work for them."
