ABBIE CORNISH - CORNISH 'SPENT TIME' WITH PHILLIPPE

Hollywood newcomer ABBIE CORNISH spent "a lot of time" with her STOP LOSS co-star RYAN PHILLIPPE earlier this year (06), but insists their relationship was strictly platonic. The Australian actress, 24, was romantically linked to the CRASH heart-throb, 32, last month (OCT06) when his wife REESE WITHERSPOON filed for divorce after seven years of marriage. Cornish vehemently denied she had an affair with Phillippe and subsequently missed the premiere of her latest film CANDY. She tells America's Star magazine, "We were very good friends and we did spend a lot of time together, yeah. "But we're friends and that's it."
