SOFIA COPPOLA - COPPOLA GIVES BIRTH TO DAUGHTER

Director SOFIA COPPOLA gave birth to a baby girl on Monday (27NOV06). The MARIE ANTOINETTE movie-maker, 35, and her musician partner THOMAS MARS have named their newborn daughter ROMY, in honour of Coppola's brother ROMAN. It's the first child for the writer/director, who won an Oscar for her screenplay LOST IN TRANSLATION. She was previously married to film-maker SPIKE JONZE for four-and-a-half years before they divorced in 2003.
