ARCTIC MONKEYS guitarist JAMIE COOK has pleaded with troubled star AMY WINEHOUSE to take a career break - so that she can overcome her personal demons.
The British rocker is a huge fan of the Back To Black hitmaker, but believes her double live performances at the weekend (27/29Jun08) were too much for the star to handle.
The Rehab singer has been in and out of hospital in recent weeks but was released for a weekend of gigs including Nelson Mandela 90th birthday concert in London on Friday (27Jun08) and U.K musical festival Glastonbury on Saturday (28Jun08).
And Cook thinks the star needed more time to recover, saying Winehouse "shouldn't be on stage when she's in such a state."
Cook tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "Only a week ago she was seriously ill and now she's performing at gigs. She needs to take a break from performing and sort herself out."
