LAUREN CONRAD - CONRAD COLLECTION IN THE LINE OF FIRE

THE HILLS star-turned-designer LAUREN CONRAD's Los Angeles Fashion Week collection almost went up in smoke on Monday (13Oct08) when wildfires near her secret base forced staff to evacuate with clothing.
Conrad's production offices were in the line of fire during one point on Monday - and her assistants had to flee for their lives.
Conrad explains, "The building where I have all of my production offices, there were fires all around it and my entire collection was there…They (staff) were evacuated, but luckily they had all the samples with them."
