Not content with their lives being plastered across the gossip pages, Lindsay Lohan's family have signed up to star in their own reality TV show.

Just weeks after the troubled starlet emerged from rehab, her publicity-hungry mother has confirmed the family will begin shooting their series in New York this week.

Set to be screened on entertainment network E!, the show will centre around Dina Lohan and Lindsay's sister, aspiring singer and actress Ali, though the Mean Girls actress is likely make a few cameo appearances, Dina told People.

"It's about what I do, how you can be successful, and be a single mom and fulfilling your kids' dreams," she revealed.

"It won't just be following my family around like other shows. It'll show me cultivating careers, going to soccer practice. Ali going to school and in the studio. It'll encompass everything.

The Lohan matriarch added: "Lindsay is a family member and will lend a helping hand if Ali asks her, when she's in the recording studio. We just want it to be real."

After recent photographs of Lindsay with her new boyfriend, snowboarder Riley Giles, were published it's emerged that he was engaged to someone else when the pair met while in rehab in Utah.
