CLINTON PLANS COVERS ALBUM
Funk icon GEORGE CLINTON is to release a covers album with a little help from his famous friends.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Carlos Santana, Sly Stone, rapper RZA and gospel star Kim Burrell will be among the guests on the album Some Gangsters of Love, which is slated to hit stores in September (08).
Highlights include Clinton and Santana's version of the Impressions' Gypsy Woman, and Clinton's revamp of Marvin Gaye's Ain't That Peculiar with Stone and El DeBarge.
