HILLARY CLINTON - CLINTON APPEARS ON SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE

Presidential candidate HILLARY CLINTON took a break from her campaign trail to make an appearance on U.S. satirical show SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE (SNL). The programme opened with a sketch recreating a debate between Clinton, played by SNL cast favourite Amy Poehler, and her election rival Barack Obama, in which anchors interrogate her on tough subjects while asking her opponent simple questions. The real Clinton then appeared to offer an "editorial response", in which she said the sketch "wasn't an endorsement of one candidate over another. I can say this confidently because when I asked if I could take it as an endorsement, I was told, 'Absolutely not.' "But I still enjoyed that sketch a great deal because I simply adore Amy's impression of me." When Poehler asked her how her campaign was going, Clinton answered: "The campaign is going very well. Very, very well. Why, what have you heard?"
