ERIC CLAPTON - CLAPTON'S EX-WIFE TO PUBLISH MEMOIRS
ERIC CLAPTON's ex-wife LORI DEL SANTO is writing a book about the loss of their son CONOR. Four-year-old son Conor tragically fell to his death from the 53rd floor of a New York City skyscraper in 1990. The couple were so traumatised by the loss of their child, they separated not long afterwards. And now Del Santo is determined to write a book about the events following Conor's death, after discovering a diary she kept at the time. Del Santo says, "The autobiography will be about what my life has really been like. It involved love and passion and my own version of what really happened that day. When the tragedy happened, I wrote 200 pages that I locked away in a safety deposit box, alongside some video footage of Conor, which I recently showed during an ABC interview with journalist DAPHNE BARAK. "It has been interesting to see how I was feeling at the time - it's a sign that I'm ready to tell the story." And Del Santo refuses to worry about what Clapton might think of her decision. She adds, "I don't care if he is happy with it or not, because he will tell his story and I will tell mine."

Lori Del Santo was never married to Clapton. She was his girlfriend for several
years, and gave birth to Clapton's only son, Conor. In fact, they had ended
their relationship by the time Conor fell to his death. You should get your
facts right before publishing a story.

Eric did'nt marry Lori and never would have, he was busy asking the real Layla
to marry him since 1969 a teenage school girl in Missouri & child prodigy he &
Carlos Santana ask to meet. Eric named her Layla as soon as he met her, ask her
for a song and to prove she could write a classic wrote Layla telling Eric it
was based on a true murder story, yet she engineered it to sound like a love
song. I don't know what the sad story is about a child that died because Eric
told Layla he didn't have a child that died! Eric and Layla have two sets of
twins that hes raising, and Carlos and Layla have a set of twins and a son. The
men still visit Missouri where they have children and grandchildren, Eric also
has two sons by another girlfriend in Mo. Eric put out Laylas (real name
unknown) album for her her called "Dressed In Love" by Layla Cries in 1971 and
about that time the British press was screaming, "Eric Claptons American
Girlfriend!"
