SPIDER-MAN 3 villain THOMAS HADEN CHURCH runs four working cattle ranches in his native Texas and insists his cowboy life is far more important than movie success. The actor, who plays The Sandman in the new Spider-Man sequel, quit Hollywood several years ago after accepting he didn't belong there, and he's had steady work ever since. And despite cries for him to return to Los Angeles, Church insists his home is on the range. He tells Entertainment Weekly magazine, "I'm a rancher, and a father... and a dude who works in movies."
