CHRISTIAN BALE - CHRISTIAN BALE ESCAPES CHARGES OVER 'FAMILY ASSAULT'

The Dark Knight star Christian Bale will not be charged over an alleged assault upon his mother and sister, it has been revealed.
Prosecutors said on Thursday there was insufficient evidence for the 34-year-old to face a realistic prospect of conviction.
Bale, who reprises the Caped Crusader role he first played in Batman Begins in The Dark Knight, was questioned by police after his mother and sister claimed he assaulted them at a central London hotel.
"We can today confirm that we have advised the Metropolitan police service that the actor Christian Bale should not face any charges following an incident which occurred in relation to his mother and sister at the Dorchester hotel on July 21st this year," a statement from the crown prosecution service said.
The British actor had been in the capital for the European premiere of the superhero blockbuster and was arrested and bailed the following day.
He has become one of the most in-demand stars following his turns as Batman, which followed performances in Empire of the Sun, American Psycho, Equilibrium and The Machinist.
