ROSES - CHINESE DEMOCRACY GETS A NOVEMBER RELEASE DATE

The wait is over for GUNS N' ROSES fans - the group's long-awaited CHINESE DEMOCRACY album will be released on 23 November (08).
The album will be released on that Sunday as an exclusive for U.S. electronics chain Best Buy and is expected to charge to the top of the chart released on 1 December (08), due to eligibility deadlines.
One of the new album's tracks, Shackler's Revenge, will debut in the video game Rock Band 2, while another tune, If the World will play over the end credits of the new Leonardo DiCaprio/Russell Crowe film Body of Lies.
The album release could prove costly for bosses of U.S. soda giants Dr Pepper, who offered to send a free can of drink to everyone in America if Chinese Democracy hit stores during 2008 at the beginning of the year.
The rock supergroup, led by Axl Rose, started working on the near-mythical album a decade ago.
Music fan Kevin Cogill was arrested on suspicion of violating federal copyright laws by leaking tracks from the much-anticipated new album on his website Antiquiet.com in June (08). The album tracks were quickly removed.
