MICHAEL CHIKLIS - CHIKLIS ATTRIBUTES CAREER PICK-UP TO HAIRCUT

Actor MICHAEL CHIKLIS credits his decision to shave off his hair with revitalising his career - because he no longer got cast as the fat guy. The star found himself cast as Detective Vic MACkey in The Shield soon after he altered his appearance. Chiklis tells American magazine Maxim, "It was about reinvention. I was tired of playing roly-poly fat guys, and I knew I was capable of doing something more hard-assed and adult. "One of the great things about The Shield is that it was perception shattering. Nobody imagined me playing Vic prior to that show."
