CHENOWETH RETURNS TO NEW YORK STAGE
Tony Award winner KRISTIN CHENOWETH is returning to the New York stage - two months after producers announced her U.S. TV show was facing cancellation.
Pushing Daisies executive producer Bryan Fuller declared in November (08) the series had been cancelled by ABC network bosses due to poor ratings.
But Chenoweth is already making her next move - she's joined the cast of City Center Encores! production Music in the Air - filling in for Marin Mazzie, who is leaving the show after the death of her father.
Chenoweth won the Tony for her performance as Sally Brown in the 1998-1999 Broadway production of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; she was also nominated for her role as Glinda in Broadway's Wicked.
The Rogers and Hammerstein's show is scheduled to run from 5 to 8 February (09).
