DON CHEADLE - CHEADLE HATED CASH BIOPIC BECAUSE PHOENIX DIDN'T SWEAR ENOUGH

DON CHEADLE has slated JOAQUIN PHOENIX's portrayal as country legend JOHNNY CASH in WALK THE LINE - because he didn't swear enough.
The Ocean's Thirteen star, who is set to play jazz great Miles Davis in an upcoming biopic, hopes his film is a more accurate depiction of an icon.
He says, "I'm really tired of biopics. I think that, unless they're done in a very interesting and unique way, it doesn't work for me.
"Either the movie is so long that you're falling asleep by the end of it or the movie has one foot in trying to educate you and the other in trying to entertain you. I mean, `Entertain me and make me excited about this person's life and I'll go and do my own research and find out who this person was.'
"I expect a biofilm to be taking poetic license all over the place. You know in Walk The Line, the Johnny Cash character curses once. Do we believe that? I know they wanted it to be PG-13, but right there, that's part of his character and they're not even dealing with it. He cursed.
"It's a part of his life but that's not gonna get the 14 year-olds."
