CHARLATANS - CHARLATANS STAR BURGESS RAN RACE ON DRUGS

THE CHARLATANS frontman TIM BURGESS once took an ecstasy pill to help him boost his chances of winning a marathon.
The singer - who abused drugs in the 1990s - admits he would use the drug to enhance his performance at sports.
He tells Uncut magazine, "There's nothing quite like running a marathon off your head on E."
And Burgess - who is now clean - has no sympathy for drug user Pete Doherty.
He adds, "Clearly the drugs worked for him at the start. But his songwriting has gone downhill."
