GEMMA ATKINSON - CELEBS TACKLE GREAT WALL OF CHINA TREK FOR CHARITY

GEMMA ATKINSON and DANNI MINOGUE are planning to trek along the Great Wall of China to raise money for charity.

Other celebrities joining the pair on the walk will include CLIFF RICHARD, ANTON DU BEKE and TOYAH WILLCOX.

GREASE actress OLIVIA NEWTON JOHN has organised the 142-mile trek to benefit breast cancer charities, meaning the cause is one close to Danni's heart as her sister pop princess Kylie recently recovered from the illness.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the X FACTOR presenter said: "I joined the walk as a personal journey to try to understand why cancer is affecting so many people, to raise money to help find a cure, to celebrate the lives of friends and family who have been saved and to reflect on those I have lost."

Danni will be walking a 30-mile length of the wall, beginning on Sunday, while Gemma will tackle 42 miles, starting on April 19th.

This follows news that KYLIE MINOGUE's breast cancer was initially misdiagnosed.

Speaking on ELLEN DEGENERES' US chat show, the songstress revealed that she had been given the all-clear by a doctor just before embarking on her SHOWGIRL tour in 2006.

A second check-up showed that she had been suffering from the condition all along.
