HELENA BONHAM CARTER - CARTER STILL AUDITIONS FOR HUSBAND

Actress HELENA BONHAM CARTER has denied she is automatically considered for roles in TIM BURTON's films because she is his girlfriend. The 41-year-old star has been dating Burton for six years and the couple has two children together. But Carter insists she doesn't get any preferential treatment because of their relationship, and she still has to go through the audition process in order to win a part in any of Burton's movies. The actress recently landed the coveted role of Nellie Lovett opposite Johnny Depp in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and she is convinced she won the job fairly. She says, "I did sleep with him (Burton) obviously. It wasn't gaining me any favours. "It looked like giving me the role was the easy choice. It was actually really hard and probably risky too because, for one, I definitely had to audition. I'd never want to be cast just because I was his girlfriend. "I also didn't want to have the pressure of being cast and not being qualified to do it - that would've been a disaster for the movie and for him."
