CARRERE BACK HOME AFTER EVACUATION
WAYNE'S WORLD star TIA CARRERE is all smiles again after spending three nights in a hotel praying that her fire-scorched home wouldn't be destroyed. The actress was one of many stars evacuated from their homes as wildfires spread throughout southern California earlier this week (beg22Oct07). Carrere was told she was safe to return to her Malibu residence just before attending the Hollywood premiere of new movie Dan In Real Life on Wednesday night (24Oct07). On the red carpet, she joked that the dress she was wearing was one of the only items she had been able to rescue from her home when firefighters told her to get out. She said, "I've been very lucky and I can now return home." Also returning home after evacuation are country singer Tanya Tucker, Kelsey Grammar and Sting. More than 1,400 homes have been destroyed by the 18 fires that began at the weekend (20/21Oct07).
