BELINDA CARLISLE - CARLISLE GOES FRENCH ON COMEBACK ALBUM

Former GOGOS star BELINDA CARLISLE is making a solo comeback with an album of French pop standards. The HEAVEN IS A PLACE ON EARTH hitmaker will release her seductive new album just before St Valentine's Day (14FEB07), hoping the romantic songs strike a chord with loved-up fans. Carlisle says, "After discovering and coming to love French music, I decided to record these amazing songs myself with a playful, contemporary feel." The record, Carlisle's first solo release in over a decade, is sung entirely in French, and features collaborations with BRIAN ENO, HOTHOUSE FLOWERS star FIANCHNA O'BRAONAIN and Egyptian world music star NATACHA ATLAS. Tracks on the album include FRANCOISE HARDY's POURTANT TU M'AIMES and French standard LA VIE EN ROSE.
