STATUS QUO - CANDICE RETURNS TO CORRIE

One of television's most ditsy soap characters is all set to make a return to Coronation Street after having left in 2005 to seek out new opportunities.

Nikki Sanderson, who played hairdresser Candice Stowe in the show, is ready to make a Corrie comeback later this year which will come as good news to fans of the bright-eyed Street regular.

According to reports Candice will make her return in true soap fashion at Sarah-Louise Platt's wedding before becoming a regular on the show once again. Speaking to the Mirror 23-year old Sanderson expressed enthusiasm about the return.

"I absolutely adore the show and everything to do with it," she commented.

"It was just a case of wanting to spread my wings and try something new when I left."

In the show Candice left the Street to become a stylist for Status Quo and since that time Nikki has appeared on Holby City and celebrity X Factor. Reports state that Candice will be back on our screens in August.
