JAMES CAMERON - CAMERON DOCUMENTARY UNDER ATTACK
LATEST: Oscar-winning filmmaker JAMES CAMERON's latest screen project has come under attack from archaeologists and clergymen in the Holy Land, who insist his so-called "evidence" that JESUS was not resurrected from the dead is unfounded.
The TITANIC director has produced new documentary THE LOST TOMB OF JESUS in which it is alleged Jesus was buried instead of walking out of his tomb. He bases his hypothesis on three coffins he claims are those of Jesus, his mother MARY and MARY MAGDALENE, which were found in a southern Jerusalem neighbourhood.
However, AMOS KLONER, the first archaeologist to examine the site, insists, "They (producers) just want to get money for it.
"It was an ordinary middle-class Jerusalem burial cave. The names on the caskets are the most common names found among Jews at the time."
ATTALLAH HANA, a Greek Orthodox clergyman in Jerusalem, adds, "(The documentary) contradicts the religious principles and the historic and spiritual principles that we hold tightly to."
The Lost Tomb of Christ airs on the Discovery Channel next month (04MAR07).

Mr Cameron is said to present scientific evidence of
the existence of Christ´s family grave. Said tomb would thus have remained
untouched by the same Je-
wish priests that had the roman military to guard the body of Christ in order
to prove that no resurrection could take place. It furthermore seems a bit odd
that the Jesus clan had to place the body of Christ in the tomb of Joseph of
Arimathea if a family tomb already existed.
The oussaries are claimed to have held the remains of Jesus himself, his mother
Maria, Mary of Magdala, Joseph, Christ´s brother, and a son Judas, fruit of an
alledged marriage between Christ and Maria Magdalena. The scientific DNA tests
to prove the arrangement have failed to comment on the fact that each oussary
contained some three or four individuals and some other 35 diseased individuals
found in the tomb.
It is furthermore not made clear if the name Jesus appears at all, since old
Hebrew scripture is known to be diffuclt to interpret. The fact that the
alledged Mary of Magdala appears by her greek name Maria Neme o Mara is
furthermore confusing. Accor-ding to historic sources her greek name can be
traced to 187.A.D. and never mentioned by the Je-
wish and Roman historians of the era.
It furthermore seems astonishing that the disciples
choosed to die for a hoax, accepting their profeth´s
prosperous family life, while they restricted them- selves to live in celebacy.
The Nazarene family of Jospeh and Mary is quite unlikely to choose a tomb in
Judea but rather a site in the Nazareth aera of Galilea, due to patri- local
habitual customs. The position of Joseph, the earthly pater of Jesus, as the
head of the family clan seems unlikely to have been challenged and rleft to
rest alone in Galilea.
Mary of Magdala, by tradition said to be buried in S:t Maximine Sainte-Baume
in south of France or reunited with Mary, mother of Christ, in Ephesus and
transferred to Constantinople after her dead sudden-ly appears, according to Mr
Cameron, in a middle - class tomb in Jersualem, after an astonishing
transport of her relics and ,furthermore, now elevated to the position as the
spouse of Jesus of Nazareth who evidently survived the crucifixtion in
order to buy himself a family tomb. If not, would the apostles have taken the
risk of buying a tomb accessible to the Jewish priesthood and the roman
occupants, thus taking the risk of having their hoax exposed publicly?
Mr Cameron may have problems with his career but he certaintly is ambitious
enough to pull a stunt like this. But will he get way with it? He will, most
ceratinly, benefit fiancially. May we rely on his greed to make him continue to
expose the tomb of the prophet Mohamed soon?
