CHRIS CAGLE - CAGLE CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

Country star CHRIS CAGLE has been charged with misdemeanour assault after allegedly punching a demanding fan's boyfriend during a signing session after a concert on Wednesday night (12Dec07). Cagle was meeting and greeting fans backstage after a benefit concert at the Cactus Moon Cafe, in Tucson, Arizona when one devotee started calling him names after he refused to keep on signing items for her. CMT.com reports police found Cagle and the woman's boyfriend fighting outside the club when they arrived on the scene. Bystanders insist Cagle explained what had happened and cooperated with the authorities, but the woman's boyfriend decided to press charges.
