Scottish actor GERARD BUTLER is giving up on love - because his career in show business prevents him from having a lasting relationship. The 300 star, 38, has previously been linked to Sin City actress Rosario Dawson, but insists the love of his life is his pet pug, Lolita. He says, "(I'm) just too busy. I'm starting to give up on all that. I go from one location to another and even if you meet somebody nice, you know you're about to fly to the other side of the world. And I'm over long-distance phone calls!"

let me speculate: Is it <gerry's perfectionist streak that makes it so hard to find the right soulmate or is it a real deep nasty emotional scar that wont heal and prevents him from falling in love again???
