GERARD BUTLER - BUTLER LEFT CRIPPLED BY MOVIE TRAINING

walking down Robertson Boulevard after having lunch at the Newsroom Cafe
Los Angeles, California ....
Scottish actor GERARD BUTLER suffered for his art shooting new movie 300 because the intense work-outs he undertook to buff up his body later left him in torture. The hunk, who plays KING LEONIDAS in the historical epic, ignored the advice of his trainer to keep up his gym regime after filming wrapped and suffered the consequences. He explains, "It's true, I bust my gut for this role. One of my main ambitions was to have the stunt guys say, 'You are really f**kin' tough!' "I wanted to be that guy, where stunt guys are going, 'S**t, look at him.' I was training for over six hours a day. I trained with my stunt double whenever I was on set and I pumped (weights) on set constantly. "I started training four or five months before the movie started but I struggled a lot after this because I didn't go back to a gym and every part of my body gave out. "I was literally walking around like a cripple."

Sorry, Gerard but my heart doesn't pity you! I adore you; however, when you
took on Leonidas as a part you knew the physical requirements. Anyone who works
their body to the max must make a demand of themself to continue to keep it in
shape AND out of pain! This doesn't mean you need to work out to the extent you
did before and during the filming of 300. Three times a week with a gym trainer
who keeps you a certain regimen would have kept the pain away.
The old adage "no pain, no gain" is true. This time you owed it to yourself not
your fans to keep out of pain! As for the word "cripple," get into a wheelchair
and see if the word fits! "Differently abled" persons know how to maintain
their bodies! The only thing "crippled" about Gerard in this case was self ego.
I love you, dude but "feel sorry," I do not!
Janet "the other Scot"
i dont know whether gerry has recovered but he definitely
needs a personal wellness manager PWM to handle his
private wellness requirments properly. even the trainer
in 300 should have known better. hope gb is ok now...
