CHARLTON HESTON - BUSINESS MANAGER CHARGED WITH EMBEZZLING FROM HESTON

A business manager has been charged with stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars (pounds) from late Hollywood actor CHARLTON HESTON and famed TV producer STEPHEN J. CANNELL.
Sharon Walker was arrested on Monday (14Apr08) in California and charged with two counts of grand theft by embezzlement, three counts of forgery and five counts of filing false tax returns.
The 56-year-old, who worked for a business management company, allegedly swindled more than $157,000 (GBP77,000) from Heston, who died last week (05Apr08), and over $567,000 (GBP259,000) from Cannell, creator of hit TV shows including The Rockford Files and The A-Team.
Los Angeles District Attorney's office released a statement accusing Walker of forging signatures to pay off her credit card debt. She faces up to 11 years in prison if convicted of all charges.
