BURNS GRATEFUL FOR SPITZER SEX SCANDAL

Actor EDWARD BURNS is hoping the sex scandal surrounding New York State Governor ELIOT SPITZER will give his new movie an unexpected boost. The 40-year-old star admits he is grateful for Spitzer's alleged involvement in a prostitution ring, because the news coverage is inadvertently promoting his new film. He says, "It's about the Mayor of New York who is involved in a sex scandal. The timing couldn't be better." Spitzer hit the headlines on Monday (10Mar08) after the New York Times reported his alleged involvement in an illegal prostitution operation.
