ED BURNS - BURNS ADMIRES HEROES FROM AFAR

Los Angeles Premiere of '27 Dresses' at the Mann Village Theatre
Los Angeles, California ....
Writer/director ED BURNS is so in awe of his heroes, he prefers to admire them from afar because he fears he will say something stupid. The FIGHT CLUB star once rode in an elevator with WOODY ALLEN, but was too shy to say hello, even though the maverick is a hero of Burns'. Burns tells the New York Daily News, "I rode in an elevator with him at a (New York) Knicks (basketball) game about six years ago - I was too cowardly to say hello. "Never met him or shook his hand. I'm too intimidated to even try and put in a call for a meeting. I admire my heroes from afar."
