Aspiring Los Angeles filmmaker OMRI COHEN has won a contest to direct the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS' next video after making frontman ANTHONY KIEDIS cry.
Cohen was among the 2,600 fans who submitted a video treatment for the group's new song, Charlie, as part of an online competition.
Kiedis says, "After watching dozens and dozens of admirable efforts, I finally saw a video for Charlie that made me cry and when I looked at my girlfriend, she was crying too. That's when I knew we had a winner."
Cohen's effort can be seen on the Chili Peppers' YouTube.com site and the budding video maker wins $5,000 (GBP2,500) and the chance to meet the group in Paris, France.
