BRUNI CHEATS WITH SECOND ALBUM
Model-turned-singer CARLA BRUNI decided to cheat after suffering writers' block while composing her new album - by stealing her lyrics from classic poets.
The sexy Italian-born star admits she struggled to find inspiration for NO PROMISES, her second LP - so she turned to the work of WB YEATS, WALTER DE LA MARE and EMILY DICKINSON.
Bruni puts 11 poems, including Auden's AT LAST THE SECRET IS OUT and Yeats' LADY WEEPING AT THE CROSSROADS, to music.
She says, "It is all linked to the huge success of the first album. I was scared of being exposed as an imposter. I tried writing, but it just wouldn't come. It didn't have the itch. Just music - no words."
