JERRY BRUCKHEIMER - BRUCKHEIMER CALLS FOR AN END TO STRIKE

Director JERRY BRUCKHEIMER has urged Hollywood studios and striking Writers Guild members to sit down and end the industrial action that is crippling the TV and movie industries. The National Treasure film maker insists innocent crew members are suffering because the two parties haven't reached a deal after weeks of picketing. He says, "For me, it's awful. But It's more awful for crews. It's really sad that two sides can't get together and make a deal. They should have made a deal six months ago." Writers Guild of America unionmembers have been on strike since 5 November (07) over a dispute over royalties.
