JAMES BROWN - BROWN'S BODY PLACED IN TEMPORARY CRYPT

LATEST: Soul legend JAMES BROWN has been temporarily laid to rest - 75 days after he died on Christmas Day (06). His body was placed in a crypt yesterday (10MAR07) at the Beech Island, South Carolina home of one his daughters. In a private service close friends and family of the late star gathered at DEANNA BROWN THOMAS' home and released white balloons. Brown's partner, TOMI RAE HYNIE, and the couple's young son, were also in attendance. She said, "This is what James wanted, for the family to come together. Everyone really felt like James was there with us." It's unlikely the crypt will be Brown's final resting place. A public mausoleum is being built and its location will be announced once it is completed, the family have said.
